Gran Turismo 4
I love it. Tons of options, features, cars, tracks, and awesome graphics... just one of the many things you can do, is go into a photomode, take a picture, and save it to a usb thumbdrive hooked up to the ps2, and transfer it over. It prompted me to setup a photogallery.

My parents just surprised me with it last night.
I've only done like 5 races, but, once I get more time over the next 2 weeks. GT4 is about the only thing I'll be doing. |

By the time I purchased a PS2 and GT3, I didn't have the time for gaming much, I never got further than..90 days in that game. Just a whole lot more to this one imo.

if it wasn't for your AIM sn, Donnie, i would almost completely forget about your fascination with the series, resulting in the legendary GT2000 nick you used on the old boards.
and yeah, GT4 looks amazing, but i doubt i will be doing any more than looking, simply because i can't afford the damn thing. but on the plus side, i purchased Castlevania SOTN for less than 10 bucks this weekend. sweet deal.

Legendary...lmao. Yeah, those were good times indeed. Hey, just for old-times sake..yeah.
I'll be taking my time with this game most likely so it doesn't get old, but, I'm quitting FFXI (most likely at least), so I'll need something to fill the void.

garr.. i wish i had the time and money for this, but i don't. i've been a huge GT fan since 2 came out. i still haven't played 3 a whole lot, it's a good game but they took out some of my favorite cars.

Yeah, there's a few things that aren't in there, which sucks, but I'm not gonna bitch about a few minor things, when the rest of the game is sweet.

One of my friends, as we've talked, has been hopelessly obsessed with the GT series since the first game... he's been having one long orgasm since March 22nd.

Oh man. I've finally had some free time to put into the game. It's so goddamn good.
I like how you have to be 25% done to start the endurance races, because in GT3, you could do an endurance race, get an F1 car, and then the rest of the game was quite easy. I'm only 4.5% done, and it's very good so far. Some day I want to sit down and finish up GT3. If I recall correctly, I was something like 70-80 percent done. |

Gotta love B-Spec mode.
I'm up here posting while I'm winning another race. B-Spec mode makes it very easy to win money. Win the Japan 5 race series in Japanese events. Win the $7,500 per win, and then the $35,000 for prize money. And then sell the car you win (since I've won it twice already, working on my 3rd now) and that's over $400,000 won in B-Spec mode. |

Even better...
Take the Mercedes SL65, tune it some, and win the Mercedes Specific Race (first of 2 available), you win a Benz touring car. Take the touring car, and go to European events, enter yourself in the Deutsche Touring Car Meisterschaft. By winning all 5 events, you make $150k including Champ. bonus, plus prize car sells for ~$743k. That's a nice chunk, plus the prize car, you'll want to keep one of the Benz CLK GTR for use elsewhere, the car famous for it's lift-off/backflip at Le Mans several years back.

Donny, with the Benz CLK GTR, what's your best quarter mile at the drag strip? I got mine down to 8.636 seconds. And on the max speed test, I got 183.10 MPH.
Not a bad machine. |
