it was actually the ep "heart" by the band stars... but, good luck with your enjoyment of 80s chick hair bands.

so I bought the blue october cd for my brother, and then noticed that one of the songs features imogen heap...so i opened it and listened to it, and it was pleasantly surprising. the rest of the songs are nothing like 'hate me'
