Phelan + Fifi = Dynah

I had a friend in highschool. Her name was Jen, and she had a british accent, which was a novelty in Florida. In any case, she... acquired a wolf puppy. Named it Phelan.

That was the smartest dog in history. (Err.. Is, it's not dead yet. But that's niether here nor there.) In any case, this thing could open and close doors, the fridge, and you had this odd feeling that it understood what you were saying. Good listener. Anyway, her aunt from new york brough along FiFi, a toy poodle, for christmas.

FiFi thought she was hot shit. She would gnaw on Phelan's legs, attack him, pounce on him, bite his ears while sleeping, just make a general bitch of herself. Phelan, in response, would kick her into a closet, and shut the door, or would simply step out of the way of her charge, and let her smack headlong into a wall.

They thought that since Phelan could handle the little thing, they'd go out for dinner, and leave Fifi home alone with Phelan. Now I could give the same gruesome description Jen gave me of the totality of the scene when they got back, but suffice it too say, phelan was gnawing on a very small skull when the family returned.

Yeah, that's pretty sad. My parents put my dog to sleep when I was five. Then they forgot to tell me till I was 17. My little brother, who didn't even know her, knew before I did.

Somebody gave me a goldfish as a gift, and then about a week later I moved into my college dorm, and decided to leave the fish at home for a week, since I didn't want to carry it in my lap all the way to my dorm.

Get home that weekend, and my fish is dead. But my parents didn't wanna tell me that it died during the week. I guess they thought I'd grown super attached to this fish I didn't even have for a week.

i lost two betta fish in a week before i bought a third that's lived for 3 years now. I named them all Caribou after the Pixies song. Caribou III is still going strong.

i have a dog (he lives with my dad right now so i guess maybe he's not my dog anymore?) but he isn't dead yet so that's good.

a loong time ago i had a cat and it had to be put down for some reason. cat's are pretty useless, but this one was kinda cool.

i love my cat!

the only other pets i've had were carnival gold fish and hermit crabs. the carnie-fish only lasted a day or so, and the hermit crabs... i dunno what happened to them. i remember we didn't feed them for a long time and they wouldn't fucking die.
